River trip

h
Gloria went to spend the weekend with Nana & Grandpa. She was happy to be an only child for a couple of days!
Lydia, Caleb and I took his boat up the river on Saturday. It was beautiful day. We sat in the front and I enjoyed the wind on my face, turtles dropping off logs, a bald eagle, and all the colors of green in the trees. Lydia enjoyed walking through the water in the shallow area and splashing. Caleb enjoyed catching a 15 inch spotted bass (not pictured) and when the motor worked (the motor issues and wind in my face brought me back to my childhood). The sun was warm, the breeze cool and the water cold. It was a great day out on the river.

Camping at McKinney Falls

Lydia went on her first camping trip with Dad and Grandpa at McKinney Falls State Park. They had a fire and roasted marshmallows, it was cold in the morning. Gloria and I met up with them in the morning and we looked at the waterfalls and checked out the campground and lunch before heading home.

More pumpkins

October is awesome and exhausting! I can't decide if I like October (awesome weather and pumpkins) or March/April (awesome weather and wildflowers) better, but I love them both. This year we tried out Marble Falls Sweet Berry Farms with Nana and Grandpa on Columbus Day. It was a drive and pretty crowded but we had a nice day, exploring the place.

Posing, look in one of the arm holes :)
Fancy picnic including table cloth and our beautiful center piece of flowers.

We petted the goats, walked through a tunnel, petted a cat (before reading the sing that said don't pet the cats), did a hayride through a scarecrow land, picked flowers, had a picnic, played around the pumpkins (and got turban style), and ended with a strawberry Popsicle.

Brooklyn's birthday

A friend from church turned 5 and had a wonderful party in her back yard with tons of friends. This was the group silly picture.
There was a petting zoo and my girls spent most of the time in there loving on the bunnies and occasionally a goose, chicken, goat, and baby pig.
Oh yes there were pony rides! Both girls did fine.

Gloria sat with this bunny two different times for about 15 minutes.

3rd Annual Pumpkin

We have gone to the same Methodist church's pumpkin patch as long as we've lived in Austin. It was Gloria's first outing two years ago and now she is wearing the same outfit Lydia wore that year! For the past two years we've gone with our Sunday school class. here is the group (notice Gloria at the bottom!)

We ended with hamburgers and ice cream afterwards as always (but the long sleeve black shirts came off since its still hot in central Texas)

Hair Cut

Gloria got a real hair cut in a salon by a new friend from church who is originally from Iran. She did great and Lydia even got a little evening out too.

Super Girls

One of our favorite activities to do on nice days is to run down the driveway and say, "It's such a beautiful day!" And this day the girls did it in style-Super girl costumes from Judah and Hudson's birthday party!

This day with baby dolls
Inside cooking with new vegetables.

Gloria's 2nd birthday party!

GreatGranddaddy, and both sets of grandparents came to the party!
Pink cupcakes!
Tinkerbell-yummy!
Cooking in high heels! She also got baby Jody, butterfly pjs, veggies and more.
Heather and James, Hero & Eris & John came to sing and celebrate too.

High Heels

Lydia is obsessed with high heels and has been for a while, she likes Jumpy Gym because they have some, when we are at friends' houses she wears them all the time. Well for Gloria's bday my mom got her two pairs to share with Gloria and she has been wearing them constantly. When she is not wearing them she lines them up nicely side by side until she decides to wear them again. The pink ones are her sleeping slippers and she wears the Snow White ones most of the day (so Gloria gets a chance to wear the pink ones and she does great for a just now two year old in high heels but they don't last long). Tonight I went in to check on her and only saw one pair at the foot of her bed, in moving the cover this is what I discovered!! Crazy girl.

And this is how she started the day.
