Caleb and his brother took Lydia and Sophia up the river in his boat. They tried on their lifejackets and enjoyed sitting in our driveway!

Happy Father's Day

Caleb is a great dad and the girls love him. Once of Gloria's new phrases is Daddy's Home! And since its summer he is home a lot more!!!

Fun girls

Princesses are all the rage in our home right now.
Even though Gloria no longer needs a bow to see, she still loves to have them in her hair. The whole family worked together for this look! She is also showing the princess tattoo she has on her arm. And they love jumping into the sister's chair (if you will read the name behind her).

Gloria is really turning into a mess. She is getting much louder and her favorite words are No and MIne. She is a hoarder and always likes to have something in her hands. She is also really learning how to talk and will repeat the funniest phrases like: No way, come on!

Tonight we went out to dinner with my parents and she wasn’t happy about leaving so Nana gave Gloria her cup with tea & lemonade in it. Gloria loved and drank it the whole way home.

She said-my boobup (meaning cup). I said-wasn’t it nice for Nana to share. G-Nooooo Minnnnnne! E-yes Nana gave it to you, can you say thank you Nana? G-Thank you Nana (seeing how this delights us) Thank you Nana, Thank you Baba (grandpa) over and over!

Disney!

Elizabeth went to Florida for a WMU conference (a friend had a companion flight!) which was wonderful but we also had an extra day so we went to Epcot. It was so much fun. I am also including (for my memory) what all we did in the fun packed day!

Well we arrived in our hotel room at 1:22am Sat morning but we got up anyway and took a taxi to Epcot and arrived at 8:20, we hung out in line with the other crazy/smart people. Disney has it down as far as moving people intermittently to keep people happy seeing new things. So we were let in and by 11:30 we had done: Soarin' (beautiful and relaxing) Test Track (fun) Mission: Space (the easier track-and it was a little off balance when getting off but not while in, and I got to put us in 'hypersleep!!!') Spaceship-Earth (cute and fun card at the end, this was our longest line, we never had to use a fastpass because all were less than 20 mins, I couldn't believe it was a Sat in June!), then quickly walked through the Innovenations area and pushed a few buttons but weren't really into it and to Living in the Land boat/ag ride (very cool).
Off to World Showcase (Angela-that's the name!). We saw all four films, rode both rides (kinda kiddie but fun, the Norway trolls were creepy!), saw the Jap drummers, American band & singers and Chinese acrobats, had an almost two hour three course French lunch with a funny/pushy french waiter and characters (Belle, the beast, Aristokitten) walking by our window waving. We shopped a little and walked through every country, sitting by a Moroccan fountain for a while. We snacked for dinner-the Norwegian lefse (which was like a tortilla with creamcheese & cinnamon) and a Japanese shaved ice! (and even had time to slip Ellen's adventure in, my friend loved the dinosaurs).
We stepped out on the bridge by France just in time for the fireworks show which was wonderful (I started wondering if Disney as a child is one thing that made me want to be a missionary!?!) then we walked out the back door (awesome idea thanks Dan) and caught a cab back to our hotel.
We saw almost everything and enjoyed it all.

Camping

Its the first annual Father's day camping night (we'll see how it goes, they've been out there for an hour). The tent is up in our new play ground/fort/princess castle. Currently they are both reading books.

Girls!

The other day I looked down and Lydia was dressed up like a princess wearing my high heels and Gloria was carrying a baby doll and blanket and I realized that almost everything about our lives are soooooo girly. And they both LOVE playing dress up (but we do have a police officer too so its not all pink and sparkly)
Lydia requested her fingernails and toenails be painted.

Caleb always shaves his beard in the summer but this year he decided to do his head too. My two years are up so I cut off all my hair for Locks of Love! So here we are with hair (we didn't think about taking it with the beard)
