Natural Gardner

We had a fun playdate with some friends at the awesome Austin gardening place. The girls petted donkeys, rode in a wagon, saw chickens and goats, played in a teepee, walked through a butterfly garden and saw tons of beautiful plants (we didn't buy anything this time but Caleb bought his orange tree here last year).

I have a picture just like this with Lydia while pregnant with Gloria!

Earth Day

We try to be kind and gentle to the Earth that God has given us to take care of.
For Earth Day, Lydia and I made a craft of crayon shaving to look like the world! She also picked these flowers out of our neighbors yard.

Rain Day

After three weeks of no rain, it rained at our home! We got on crocs and rain jackets and played in the puddles!
The best picture that I have of them both looking and smiling-and yes they are in the bath tub!

Wildflower Trip

We made our annual trek to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and two minutes after arriving it began to pour. We spent a lot of time in the children's play/learning area, then had an early lunch and the rain cleared up (just like our last Saturday in Houston!)
Nana & Grandpa came too.
The girls weren't interested in getting their pictures taken, but we had a good time going up the tower and looking at turtles.
We headed home for a nap when the weather got pretty and the place got crowded!

Houston Fun

We went to Discovery Green and though there was no rain predicted, it drizzled the whole morning. Lydia still wanted to do the splash park and it was cold!
After lunch it turned beautiful and the guys rented remote control sailboats. We went exploring.
A whispering tunnel
Back at Rush's house.
surprisingly good kids in the bath. See the soap it says save water, shower with a friend :)
Below all the kiddos (guess which one missed his nap!) Lydia did a great job holding the baby.

Houston-the guys

Unplanned matching outfits-and I thought Lydia and Gloria were bad.
Caleb went to HS with these guys in Beaumont and now they live in Houston. The summer I was pregnant with Lydia we took a trip to Colorado together and celebrated New Year's 2007. And since then we've only gotten together once, and three babies have born in that time. So we planned a much needed trip to hang out and a great time was had by all (they are trying to get us to move down there.....)

Salado

We took a quick trip to Salado because Aunt Kathy came down from TN. The wildflowers are so beautiful that though I normally hate being in the car, I loved all our driving this weekend.
Dessert was a highlight. Gloria is a fan of whipped cream!
