The Fourth Fisherman by Joe Kissak
A real life story of heroism of redemption-my favorite! This is the tale of a group of Mexican
fisherman who get lost in the Pacific and are found over 9 months later halfway
across the world; and the story of Joe Kissak, a tv exec who did the rag to
riches thing, then totally messed up his life with addictions and stress and
then found true life in Jesus Christ. It
is told in every other chapter between the two stories until the end (where it
slows down some) when Joe relates meeting them and getting the rights to their
story.
I can really recommend this book to anyone: it’s a great,
fast paced, thrilling story and I love that God gets glory through it all. The part on the ocean is rather like the Old
Man & the Sea (I won’t give a spoiler to how they survive but its fascinating). One of the big themes with Joe is his
marriage and how God heals not only him but his whole family. A fast, faithful read worth your time.
