One of Caleb's co-workers had a Kentucky Derby party, so we we fancied up our hats...
it was out in the country by Lockhart and he did a crawfish boil. Caleb, the good ol' Southeast Texas boy, did a lot of explaining on how to eat them.
The evolution of a relationship: there were two big bags of live crawfish waiting for their turn to be boiled. We put one on the table for the girls to see crawl around....
Gloria thought her hat needed more decoration...
then she began carrying it around with her including sitting on a saddle to watch the race on tv....
the kids disappeared to the backyard with two other kids and when we found them they had 8 crawfish and had built them a neighborhood....
which later included old egg shells for them to live in and a pond so they won't die!
But then a distraction, horses!! He brought three over for the kids to pet, feed carrots and love on.
He brought the nicest one, named Lucy, in for them to walk a little in the yard. A great time was had by all in the country!
