We were to have the henna party at Suha's home near the hotel, but since her grandmother was in the hospital it was best to go to another home so we went back to Seeb. Praise the Lord I found the place with the way the roads had changed. We 8 ladies went into the first home with Badriya, then got moved to the oldest brother's home, one room then another sitting room where Mizna came and begin to work her art on all of us! Various children (who got presents from the ladies) and ladies came and visited for a while and then went. We got to watch the Omani news and the top story was the Festival, then they put on a Jordanian historical drama so that is always interesting. We got served Vimto and sat for several hours as we all got henna.

Then we went back to the main home where the ladies made us a wonderful lunch. We sat on the floor-but they gave us spoons and plates (times are changing!) It was fish and rice and yogurt and also a Balushi soup and an Egyptian dish called koshari (rice, lentils, pasta) and dates (something I miss in the US is good not too dry dates). All was very tasty. Then we sat up on the couches, had tea (strange not coffee) with too many desserts (Shayna loved the little donut balls), while looking at wedding photos and B's trip to India and chatting. We all had a wonderful time (the guys were off fishing and getting sunburned and seasick)
