The view from our hotel room, lots of building going on and a very slight view of the ocean! There were several mosques within hearing distance including the Grand Mosque and they were all just a little off from each other so we heard them most mornings at 5:30ish, then there was a dog barking and Indians (some with sandals on) banging at their work sites to help wake us up for the day but no roosters or cars honking :)
Shayna, from Birmingham and who attends David Platt's church, was my roommate. She is a pharmacist and is dating Micah another guy on the trip who feels like he might like to live in the Middle East at some time. She had a great time and when we weren't passed out sleeping-her because she is a great sleeper and me because of my sleep aid, we enjoyed talking; and she brought tons of scarves that I borrowed a couple to accent my outfit or keep my neck from being cold in the evenings! We didn't plan our matching clothes this day, it just happened.
