We took a boat ride along the Muscat coast line. It was a beautiful day and nice that we all fit on one boat. We had a driver and a guide, we went down past Qantab (so it was fun to see the same sites from the water this time) the Bustan hotel, the Shangri La (which I had hoped to go inside but no time this trip) and then into the coves to look for fish. In the past we had taken fishing boats to a private cove to swim and snorkel. In some ways that is better as it is still touristy, it is less touristy and the boat is small enough to go through the large hole in the rocks and you get to get in the water instead of just covered in water. We got splashed some but then would dry in the wind and sun. At the end we went into Muscat to see the Palace and it was sooo rough on the way back, I was sitting on the top and several waves totally drenched us!

The new Shangri La hotel, a fishing boat going through the hole (our boat was too big)

Our guide with the Oman Dive Center behind, me and Star enjoying the speed on the top

The glass bottom boat, we saw some fish, coral and a few turtles and dolphins. We went into the coves where the snorkelers and divers were.

Getting splashed by waves, all aboard!
