me, Don, Micah, Shayna, Greg, Dale, Craig, Patty, Sherry, Debbie, Tracy, Caroline, Star-an awesome group!While the group was having lunch at the Iranian restaurant at the hotel, I took off to see my friend Maryam at her home. Her sister came too and it was great to have fruit, coffee and catch up. She is applying to grad school at UT so we might be seeing more of her!
The roads in Muscat were different and now you can get closer to the Sultan's governmental palace.
the landscaping there was beautiful. Our cars and jagged mountains!
Stopped at Muttrah Souq. Parking again was a problem and we had to park way down at the Fish Souq but it was a nice day for a walk down the Corniche to the Souq. We had juices at the shop and then ran around. Again me, Caroline & Tracy-trying to find Mortada-he was out and he no longer sells cards of his artwork, abayahs-the guy wasn't bothered with selling to us so we ran to the back part where only Omanis shop but it was getting close to our time to meet, my scarf friend-also out...it was a hurried trip in one of my favorite places and I didn't even take a picture of the cool new roof!
Then we took the Muscat City Tour driving through town up to the fishing village of Qantab, stopped for a photo shoot (Teresa and Lyn were at the hospital), past the boat roundabout and Bustan palace hotel to the Sultan's palace and port
