It was the Virginia's group last night (they had come from Jordan visiting friends) so we had a farewell dinner at Kargeen's. We got the scenic route past the ministry buildings getting there but it is still in the same part of town where lots of expats and wealthy Os live. The bookstore was gone but Al Fair grocery store was there with a sign in the window that said: wonderful pastries and bakes! Al Fair normally doesn't do spelling mistakes so maybe a bake is something British! We ordered family style (my favorite) getting breads, humus, pizzas, three traditional Omani dishes-beef, chicken & fish, and mixed grills. I also got one of their amazing iced tea! It was a fun evening eating real food instead of the Festival fare. We drove home on Embassy road and I love seeing the unique buildings for each country.
